The switch of seasons is most apparent in a resort town like Whistler where so many changes occur. When you live in a city or rural town, you feel the air get cooler and the leaves change colour and fall, but things don’t really change that much. In Whistler the Gondola stops running, shops and restaurants close up, the once crowded village echos in its emptiness. The change is very apparent.
During this quiet time, many locals go away to vacation – very important to rest up for the next crazy busy season. Soon enough the Whistler ski hire shops will be crowded with people anxious to head up the mountains.
